A longer fermentation, unpeated Scottish malt and copper pot distillation are used to preserve a fruity, honeyed spirit before maturation in bourbon and sherry-seasoned oak.

From its beginnings

John Dewar & Sons constructed Aberfeldy in 1898 to secure malt for its blends. Apart from wartime closures, production has continued at the Perthshire site.

Aberfeldy remains an operating Scotch whisky distillery at Aberfeldy, Perthshire. Its present identity joins the accumulated fabric of the site to an active production tradition, while discontinued bottlings belong to the range history rather than defining the distillery today.
