Scotch Whisky Collection

A private Scotch whisky archive—not an offer for sale.

Five protected places · one collector’s island lens

Regions

Geography is not destiny, but it gives the archive a way to speak about water, weather, distance and production tradition.

Protected Scotch Whisky region

Highlands

The largest and most varied mainland region, stretching across moor, mountain and coast. Its scale resists a single house style: lighter, fruity, heathery, smoky and maritime malts can all belong here.

Protected Scotch Whisky region

Speyside

A concentrated pocket of distilling around the River Spey and its fertile glens. Speyside is frequently associated with fruit, honey, vanilla, spice and Sherry-cask maturation, but its real signature is the density and variety of makers gathered here.

Protected Scotch Whisky locality

Campbeltown

A small protected locality at the southern end of Kintyre with an outsized distilling history. Once home to more than thirty distilleries, Campbeltown is still associated with robust, richly textured malts carrying salt, smoke, fruit, vanilla and toffee.
