History

From its beginnings

Alexander Edward founded Aultmore in 1897 during the late-Victorian whisky boom. Rebuilding and modernisation followed after early financial turbulence.

Aultmore remains an operating Scotch whisky distillery at Keith, Moray. Its present identity joins the accumulated fabric of the site to an active production tradition, while discontinued bottlings belong to the range history rather than defining the distillery today.
