From its beginnings

James Allardice founded the distillery in 1826. Fire, changing ownership, and a closure from 1996 to 2002 preceded its modern revival.

The Glendronach remains an operating Scotch whisky distillery at Forgue, Aberdeenshire. Its present identity joins the accumulated fabric of the site to an active production tradition, while discontinued bottlings belong to the range history rather than defining the distillery today.
