History

From its beginnings

Licensed as Burnfoot in 1833, the distillery adopted the Glengoyne name in 1905. Its location on the Highland Line remains a distinctive part of the story.

Glengoyne remains an operating Scotch whisky distillery at Dumgoyne, Stirlingshire. Its present identity joins the accumulated fabric of the site to an active production tradition, while discontinued bottlings belong to the range history rather than defining the distillery today.
