History

From its beginnings

John Hopkins founded Speyburn in 1897 and pressed the first production through in time for Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee year.

Speyburn remains an operating Scotch whisky distillery at Rothes, Moray. Its present identity joins the accumulated fabric of the site to an active production tradition, while discontinued bottlings belong to the range history rather than defining the distillery today.
