History

From its beginnings

Established in 1965 during a period of rapid industry expansion, Tomintoul was built near the River Avon and the village from which it takes its name.

Tomintoul remains an operating Scotch whisky distillery at Ballindalloch, Moray. Its present identity joins the accumulated fabric of the site to an active production tradition, while discontinued bottlings belong to the range history rather than defining the distillery today.
